Behncke is a student and sound artist from Santiago, Chile who has a keen interest in experimental and contemporary music. Inspired by harmony, melody, sound and how they can be manipulated together to create atmospheres, Behncke created two beautiful pieces for this ep.
Behncke plays many different instruments to create his sound but mailnly focuses on the guitar here. He experiments by using a cello bow, glass & metal slide and then processes the sounds via laptop. The track “Se hacía tarde en todo” is made entirely with guitar layers, a minimalistic piece that expands gradually. The second piece, “Then she slept”, follows a similar path being guitar based but it also has a more evident and structured bass layer attached.
