Nunc Stans "Land"

Text taken from Pingthings

Many of you will be familiar with the work of Nunc Stans as one of the many projects from the brilliant and talented Anthony Paul Kerby, and will no doubt share in my excitement over this latest collection of tracks.

"Land" is a stunning work that captures the sound of Nunc Stans at a turning point where drone-based sensibilities blend seamlessly with melodic work to create a stunning sonic environment for the listener to explore. Influenced by the stark beauty of Northern Canada, Kerby has created a set of aural landscapes that inspires and delights from the cold drones of opener "Before the Colors Deepened", through the sparse melodies and underlying urgency of "Journey of a Thousand Days", to closing track "Ice Field" with it's beautiful humming tones and found sounds.

"Land" by Nunc Stans is available for free download as a 69Mb Zip file containing the full release in high quality 256kbps mp3 format along with front cover and tray card art suitable for printing. The music on this release is copyright Anthony Paul Kerby, 2008 and may not be used or reproduced without the artist's express permission.
